The Broa Foundation is proud to support the "RIGHT TO HOT MEAL IN SCHOOL (Direito à Refeição Quente na Escola)) project in Cabo Verde. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to fostering education, health, and well-being among the children of Cabo Verde. It is our aim, in partnership with local organizations, government agencies, and community leaders, to provide every child in Cabo Verde with access to a hot, nutritious meal at school. As a nation with rich cultural diversity, Cabo Verde faces significant child nutrition and education challenges due to low-income families. Many children in Cabo Verde come from disadvantaged backgrounds and struggle to access quality education and proper nutrition. Malnutrition and hunger can severely affect a child's physical and cognitive development, limiting their potential to succeed. We are making a difference through the "Kids Have the Right to Hot Meals in School" project. Children in Cabo Verde receive daily hot meals that are nutritionally balanced and designed to meet their dietary needs, improving their overall health and well-being. The initiative also offers educational support, including tutoring and mentoring, that helps children thrive academically. We believe every child has the right to a hot meal at school, and we are committed to ensuring this fundamental right is upheld in Cabo Verde.
